LiveFlo WC uses a Dual Gamma Meter (DGM) and determines the Water Cut (WC) of three phases (gas, water and oil) flow with GVF<90%. The meter is independent of oil / water emulsion effect. In case there is no gas in the flow, DGM could be replaced by Single Gamma Meter (SGM).

LiveFlo WC utilizes the dual energy γ-ray absorption technologies. The oil, gas and water fractions are computed in real time at production conditions. The three equations to compute the fraction are the two attenuations of the two energy level of the gamma ray for the three medium and the sum of the three fractions in a closed conduit equal to 1. By solving this system of equations the three fractions are computed including WC and GVF.
